The Fabulous Silver Tones Induction Into The Kansas Music Hall Of Fame

Time flies - and when one gets older and gets sick - it takes longer to recover. I got sick after the December gig at RC's and was still down with a bad ear infection on Jan.13th when the induction ceremony was held in Lawrence, so, bad as I wanted to go - I MISSED IT. DAMN...

However, Paul Schlapper attended and he forwarded some pics and the song list to me which I will post here. Tonight is the BackDoor #4 with The New Silvertones and I will make a new post tomorrow on that event. Here's the bit on The Hall Of Fame Induction Ceremony.

They began with Midnight Thunder; then did Dimples and also did Stevie Ray Vaughn's 'Pride & Joy' and did 'Good Night my Love' - a great version. I forget what they closed with but they were the only group to get an encore. Most of the groups had 10 or 15 members. They had 3. Franks guitar playing blew them away! Hell, it blew me away, too. I think they realized that the copy is never as good as the original...It was great to see our homeboys get their dues......
